Mother's Day Cheese Tasting

Updated: 4 days ago

Hey, thanks for following the QR trail here! Here is the lineup for todays tasting:

  1. Four Fat Fowl's St. Stephen

St. Stephen, the award-winning flagship cheese, is a handcrafted triple cream with rich buttery flavor and delicate milky notes. Made with fresh, all-natural Jersey cow milk and cream, it features a silky interior and bloomy rind that bring earthy, nutty undertones and a finish that leaves one reaching for another bite—and another glass of bubbly.

  2. Deer Creek Cheese The Carawaybou

Created by Chris Gentine, self proclaimed cheese hotrodder, Deer Creek’s The Carawaybou revives a treasured 1914 recipe in the form of a classic handmade Wisconsin Colby. Studded with aromatic caraway seeds, this eye-catching cheese delivers buttery richness balanced by delicate notes of perfumed anise, while the slight crunch of the seeds contrasts beautifully with its firm, openly curdy texture.

  3. Shelburne farms 2 Year Aged Cheddar

This Extra Sharp Cheddar, aged a minimum of two years, is a standout example of classic Vermont cheddar. Its bold, acid-forward sharpness is balanced by subtle minerality and a touch of sweetness on the finish, making it equally satisfying alongside crisp autumn apples or enjoyed on a cold winter day - or for Mother's Day!

  4. Blakesville Creamery Afterglow

Inspired by the washed-rind cheeses of France’s Champagne region, Afterglow is a rich, creamy goat cheese washed in Belgian-style cherry ale from Wisconsin’s New Glarus Brewing Company. Crafted by Blakesville Creamery with milk from their free-grazing goats, it offers bright fruit notes, a delicate minerality, and a lightly salty finish that shines alongside Champagne, farmhouse cider, or a fresh baguette with honey and fruit.

  5. Alipnage Classic Raclette

Alpinage™ Artisan Cheese specializes in naturally aged alpine-style cheeses crafted from fresh raw milk at their Wisconsin farmstead creamery. Founded by French cheesemaker Orphee Paillotin, their Mount Raclette cheeses range from sweet and buttery to rich and nutty, with each wheel cellar-aged for 60 days on rustic wood boards for exceptional depth and meltability. Served with Cold Smoked Salmon and Urfa Pepper

  6. Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue

Playfully inspired by Smokey Bear, this American original is cold-smoked over Oregon hazelnut shells, creating layers of barrel-aged vanilla, bread pudding, and candied bacon aromas. Its rich profile balances spicy-sweet notes of honey, apple,

and nectarine with a gentle blue cheese finish.
